The decline of instances of hazards identified by the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) Program is due to the twelve (12) vacant, unfunded inspector positions across the state, and due to turnover within the division, which is further exasperated by the fact that VOSH apprentices (new hires) in their first year generally do not conduct inspections by themselves. |
