715
3,914 Includes Code Change Training programs
3,017 Includes Code Change Training programs
826 The target for FY 13 was 1,100 individuals with actual number slightly less totaling 826. This was attributed to the steady yet slower than anticipated upturn in training needs to meet the increase in the need for certifications resulting from incline in the built or construction environment
1,730 Includes Code Change Training programs
4,431 The significant increase in numbers trained for FY15 was due to the mandated code change training (CCT) which occurs approximately every three years in conjunction with the Virginia code adoption cycle. This number is expected to decrease during FY 16 as CCT comes to a completion and remain at such until 2018 when Virginia anticipates the next code adoption cycle to conclude.
1,181 As expected with the completion of the mandated code change training in FY15 we saw a reduction in the number of people trained during FY16 and should remain at such until 2018 when Virginia anticipates the next code adoption cycle to conclude
1,403 The increase in number of seats filled is as result of adding two new course titles to the JPVBCA catalog and offering those courses multiple times throughout the reporting year. The dry-run and pilot of the new courses contributes as a one-time increase.
1,560 Virginia Building Code Academy seats: 1426; Online: 134
6,790 FY19 reflects the significant increase in training seats due to the 2015 code change training.
2,554 FY 20 is slightly lower due to canceled classes and reduced attendance due to COVID. Virtual classroom was established in April 2020.
