2019 319,691 Expenditures for nine projects run by Radford University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Department of Education, James Madison University, disAbility Law Center of Virginia, Arc of Northern Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center, William and Mary University, and Virginia Hospital Research & Education Foundation. Expenditures were higher this year than last year primarily due to a greater number of active grants (9 vs. 5).
2020 419,347 Expenditures for 11 projects run by the Arc of Virginia, Radford University, Virginia Commonwealth University (3 projects), Community Knights, James Madison University, Arc of Northern Virginia, Up Center, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, and William and Mary University. Expenditures were higher this year than last year primarily due to a greater number of active grants (11 vs. 9).
2021 346,468 Expenditures for (a) 4 competitive mini-grants for school tech support; (b) 9 competitive grants run by Radford University, Virginia Commonwealth University (3 projects), College of William and Mary, Community Knights, Arc of Northern Virginia, Up Center, DCJS; and (c) 2 contracts using discretionary funding with the Hope House and Arc of Virginia conference presenter. There were more active projects this year than the previous year (15 vs. 11), but total expenditures were lower this year because several of the projects were smaller.
2022 359,224 Expenditures for (a) 9 competitive grants run by James Madison University, Radford University, Virginia Commonwealth University (2 projects), Children's Assistive Technology Service, Brain Injury Services of SWVA, Arc of Virginia, ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia, and Management Support Solutions; and (b) 1 solicited grant with the disAbility Law Center of Virginia. While there were fewer projects this year (11 versus 15), several of them were larger and included a grant in connection with specific funding the Board received from the CDC to provide COVID-19 vaccines to people with disabilities.
