Data Source and Calculation
The measure reflects the total difference between permitted impacts in wetlands and the number of acres compensated during the reporting period. Positive numbers indicate that the target of no "net loss" of wetlands has been surpassed with a net gain of wetlands acreage and function. Data are obtained from permit and compliance information entered into Comprehensive Environmental Data System (CEDS). 2024 note: Any increase in the target is directly correlated with increasing permit applications and corresponding proposed impacts.
