Data Source and Calculation
This measure is calculated using permit tracking data from the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy's coal mine regulatory database system. The number of permit decisions made within 60 working days (in-house processing time only) is compared to the total number of permit decisions during the review period. This measure reflects decisions on new permits and acreage amendments received after January 2013. The number is calculated as a percentage.
