<p>This measure is calculated using information from the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy’s coal reclamation automated enforcement system. Records of violations show the date the violation is issued, the target date for eliminating the violation, and the date the violation was eliminated. The number of environmental violations eliminated by their due dates is calculated as a percentage of total environmental violations issued.</p>
