In FY11, the popularity of the Picasso exhibition drove significant sales of memberships as well as of individual tickets. Based on the experience of other museums around the country with notable banner exhibitions, VMFA expects 25+ of new memberships from Picasso to renew for a second year, therefore a modest drop in the total number of memberships for FY12 is anticipated.
