Data Source and Calculation
Each quarter, researchers receive a data download from the Department of Health Professions’ data center. This download is generated from the department’s existing MLO data system. This measure calculates the number of patient care cases closed in a given quarter and divides that number by the number of cases requiring more than 415 days to process. Days in the Continuance and Criminal Action Pending activity are not counted in this calculation. Only cases received within the last 8 quarters are calculated.
