Data Source and Calculation
It is imporant that the Virginia National Guard end strength remain stable in order to support the Governor and civil authorities during natural disasters and civil unrest. The data source is the personnel database. End Strength is determined by the amount of force structure (National Guard units assigned to Virginia). If force structure is reduced by the National Guard Bureau (NGB), it is possible that the End Strength of the Virginia National Guard will be reduced as well.
