The amounts provided support the annualized general fund cost of increasing the Virginia minimum wage from $12.00 per hour to $12.89 per hour or the equivalent annual salary of $26,811. The actual minimum wage for January 1, 2026 will be communicated by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry by October 1, 2025.
